Job description

We are seeking a creative, entrepreneurial, energetic and bright candidate to join our digital marketing team. As an experienced e-business manager, you’re not a software developer or a marketer, but you’ll work closely with both. Responsible for managing the e-Business channels at Finning (Canada), you will manage our online customer portal and the implementation of business integration services. You will drive an innovative web shopping experience by analyzing and anticipating market, customer and technology trends. You clearly see things from the perspective of a customer, and excel at collaborating with a broad group of stakeholders to address customer pain points/address opportunities.

Education and Experience: 
  • Post-secondary education in Business and / or Information Systems
  • 7 years of related experience, including management experience
  • Project management certification or recent training is preferred

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement e-commerce strategies with focus on high growth in incremental profitable revenue
  • Oversee the implementation and on-going development of customer eBusiness initiatives including parts.cat.com, Integrated Procurement & Commerce websites
  • Create online promotional programs with Marketing & Product Support Marketing Managers to influence the growth of electronic relationships with customers, potential customers and business partners
  • Leverage offline promotions and identify web exclusive offers
  • Define and review metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of eBusiness initiatives versus annual growth and campaign targets set
  • Participate and collaborate with various Finning and Caterpillar e-Business committees
  • Research e-business best practices and keep informed on the e-business activities of Finning competitors
  • Work with the logistics management team to ensure optimal product fulfillment from ebusiness initiatives
  • Work with Business Support Analyst to ensure efficient process are in place
Accountability: 
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining the Finning (Canada) E-Business strategic and tactical business plans
  • Responsible for the deployment of all customer facing web initiatives and integration solutions
  • Accountable for the availability of all customer online applications
  • Accountable for the eBusiness portion of the Product Support Marketing budget
  • Accountable for reaching all eBusiness targets
